近位
解説 Definition
近位とは体や器官の中心に近い側を指す用語で、解剖学や医学でよく使われる。対義語の遠位とは反対で、手足などで付け根に近い側を意味する。たとえば上腕骨の近位端は肩とつながっている部分である。
If something is proximal, it is nearer to the center of the body or nearer to the point where something begins or is attached. This word is used mainly in anatomy, biology, and other technical fields. It is the opposite of distal.
