撒き散らす

花びらや飾り、書類などをあちこちにばらまくという感じで、全体に散らして広げる動きを表す。何かを強調したい場面で「〜をあちこちに散りばめる」という形で使われ、文学的な言い回しや装飾の説明にも登場しやすい。strew A with B（AにBをばらまく）のような構文でもよく見られる。
To strew means to scatter things over an area so they lie in many different places. It is often used for small objects, leaves, flowers, rubbish, or similar things spread across the ground or a surface. The word is slightly literary in some contexts.
