テキーラは、メキシコ原産のアガベという植物から作られる蒸留酒です。特にブルーアガベを原料として、メキシコのハリスコ州テキーラ地方で製造されるものが本場のテキーラとされています。ショットで飲んだり、マルガリータなどのカクテルのベースとして広く使われています。

English tequila was borrowed from Spanish tequila, the name of the distilled drink.
