流通に供されたことがない貨幣または造幣品。新しい状態のままの硬貨。
Uncirculated means not put into general use, exchange, or public movement. It is often used for coins, money, documents, or information that have not been used or passed around. In coin collecting, it usually means a coin is still in very fresh condition.

un-で「まだ〜していない」、circulateで「出回る・流通する」と押さえると覚えやすいです。coinやmoneyがcirculateする＝人から人へ回るイメージなので、uncirculated coin は「まだ市場を回っていない硬貨」。特にコイン収集では「使用されず新品同様」という含みが強い語です。circulation（流通）や in circulation（流通している）とセットで覚えると定着しやすく、circulating と見たらまず「世の中を回っている」を連想すると迷いません。

un- は古英語の否定接頭辞、circulated はラテン語 circulare「円を描いて動く」から来ており、その語幹は circulus「小さな輪」です。もともと「ぐるぐる回る」が原義なので、uncirculated は「まだ世の中を回っていない」、つまり未流通を表します。
