解説 Definition
accustom oneself to B の形で、自分を新しい環境や生活条件に少しずつなじませる、つまり「慣れる」を表す。get used to より硬く、受け身の慣れではなく、自分で時間をかけて調整する意識が出やすい。寒冷地、学校、勤務時間などに用いる。
To accustom someone to something means to help them become familiar with it through repeated experience. Over time, they begin to accept it as normal or comfortable. It is often used with the pattern "accustom someone to something."
