calcification は、体内の組織や血管、臓器などにカルシウム塩が沈着し、硬くなる現象を指す医学用語です。加齢や炎症、代謝異常などに関連して起こることがあり、画像検査で発見されることも多く、部位によっては痛みや機能低下の原因になります。
Calcification is the process in which calcium builds up in body tissue and makes it harder. It is often used in medicine when talking about bones, organs, or blood vessels. Depending on the situation, it can be a normal change or a sign of a health problem.
