極端な愚かさ、または非常に愚かな行為を表す、強い非難を伴う語です。人の知的障害を指す用法は旧式で侮蔑的なため、現代では避けられます。
Idiocy means very stupid behavior, ideas, or actions. It is a strong and often rude word used when someone thinks something is extremely foolish. It can also refer to a lack of good judgment.
