多次元とは、複数の異なる側面や層を持つ、または複数の方向性を持つという意味です。単純な二次元ではなく、より複雑で多くの要素が組み合わさった状態を表します。
Multidimensional means having several different aspects, parts, or levels. It is used when something cannot be understood in only one simple way, such as a problem, character, or idea. In technical contexts, it can also mean involving more than three dimensions.

まず multi- を見たら「複数の」、dimension を見たら「次元・尺度」と分けて読むと覚えやすいです。dimension を知っていれば、multidimensional は「一つの軸だけでは見られない」という感覚で取れます。単に complicated「複雑な」よりも、評価軸や見方がいくつもある点が中心です。multidimensional problem, analysis, approach のように「多面的に捉える」場面でよく出るので、“many dimensions at once” と頭に置くと定着しやすいです。
