医学用語で、人工肛門や人工膀胱などの医療目的で作られた人体の開口部。また植物学では気孔を指す。
A stoma is a small opening. In plant biology, it means a tiny pore on a leaf or stem that lets air and water vapor move in and out. In medicine, it can also mean an opening made in the body by surgery.
