解説 Definition
隙間や空間を埋める材料、または既存の市街地の空き地や未利用地を活用して行う開発を指す名詞。建築では壁や骨組みの間を埋める部分、都市計画では郊外へ広げず内部を有効利用する開発をいう。
Infill is material used to fill a space or gap, or development built on empty land within an existing area. The word is common in construction, city planning, and also for surfaces such as artificial grass.
