ラテン語の接頭辞 re-「再び」と integrate「一つにする」からできた語で、名詞化の -ion が付いた形です。integrate は integer や integrity と同根で「欠けずに完全な」が核なので、reintegration は「再び全体へ戻す」から「社会復帰」になります。
