膜貫通とは、生物学や生化学において、細胞膜を完全に通り抜けるタンパク質や分子の特性を描写する形容詞である。膜の両側に伸びる構造を持つことを示す。
Transmembrane describes something that passes through a cell membrane or another biological membrane. It is often used for proteins or parts of proteins that connect one side of the membrane to the other. This is a technical word mainly used in biology and medicine.
