古フランス語 concordance、さらに中世ラテン語 concordantia にさかのぼり、con-「共に」+ cord/cordis「心」から成ります。もとは「心が一つであること」で、concord や cordial も同根なので、「一致」が心の調和から来たと納得できます。

It is built from "con-" meaning "together" and "cord-," from Latin "cor/cordis," meaning "heart"; related words include "concord" and "cordial."
