harmonisation はギリシャ語 harmonia「つなぎ合わせ・調和」がラテン語・フランス語を経て入り、harmony に -ise と -ation が重なった形です。もとは「ばらばらのものを合わせる」感覚で、harmonic や harmonious も同じ語根から広がりました。
