物が糊や接着剤で留められておらず、はがれたままになっている状態を表す形容詞。比喩的には、強い衝撃や混乱で感情や精神のまとまりを失い、ひどく動揺して不安定になっている様子もいう。
Unglued literally means not stuck together with glue or no longer attached because the glue has come off. Informally, it can also mean emotionally upset or mentally unstable. The second meaning is common in casual speech.
