解説 Definition
液体や食べ物などが低温で凍ること、または凍らせることを表す動詞。比喩的に、人が恐怖や驚きで体をこわばらせて動けなくなることや、計画・資金・価格などを一時的に停止してそのままの状態にすることにも使われる。
To freeze means to become very cold and turn into ice, or to make something do this. It is often used for weather, water, food, and body parts. It can also mean to stop moving because of cold, fear, or shock.
