interpret を知っていれば、「意味をとる・解釈する」に re-「もう一度」が付いて「解釈し直す」と分かる。recheck, rebuild と同じで、re- は『やり直し・見直し』の合図。ポイントは、同じ内容をただ繰り返し説明するのでなく、視点・前提・時代背景を変えて別の意味づけを与えること。reinterpret history, data, results, a classic novel のように、事実・研究結果・作品を新しい見方で読み替える文脈で覚えると残りやすい。misinterpret は「誤って解釈する」、translate は「翻訳する」で別語。
