discloseは古フランス語descloreを経てラテン語claudere「閉じる」にさかのぼり、dis-「離して・打ち消して」+ close が核です。閉じたものをほどいて見えるようにする感覚から「開示する」となり、closeやclosureも同根です。
"Disclose" comes through Old French from Latin roots linked to claudere, meaning "to close."
