ワイン、香水、その他の液体をあるボトルから別のボトルへゆっくり注ぐこと。通常は澱を分離させるため。
To decant means to pour liquid carefully from one container into another. This is often done to leave unwanted material behind or to let the liquid mix with air. Usage note: it is commonly used for wine, but also in chemistry and cooking.
